E.M.A.S - Ethnic Minority Asylum Seekers

Since 2008 YourMotive.com has been running a course for Ethnic Minority Asylum Seekers (EMAS). This course has provided students from both Fitzalan High and Cathays High School the opportunity to mix, engage with and gain an awareness of their surroundings. The students come from various backgrounds and different countries e.g. Iraq, Somalia, Czech Republic, Bangladesh, Romania and Portugal.

To date, YourMotive has taken the students to visit a variety of interesting places including, Bristol Zoo, Cardiff Museum, Slimbridge Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, Millennium Centre, Cardiff International Swimming Pool and Blaenavon Big Pit. The course enables all the students to interact and engage with one another and the staff, helping to further develop both Life and Transferable Skills.
