Summer Fun is BACK!!!

Summer Fun (renamed Outdoor Fun in 2010) is back for its 4th consecutive year. For two weeks join us from the 19th – 21st of July or the 26th – 28th of July to participate in a range of fun activities including, Kayaking, Biking and Team Building. To get a taste of the fun you’ll have visit last years gallery and remember to check back for images from Outdoor Fun 2010. We’re expecting over 70 young people (aged 12 – 15) over the 2 weeks, places are limited so ring 07779 260656 to book now.

Successful completion of YOS and PRU

YourMotive.com saw the successful completion of YOS (Youth Offending Service) and PRU (People Referral Unit) course which ran over twelve weeks with a high retention on both. Some students enjoyed working with our team so much they’ve enrolled on some of the other courses we run!

Youth Achievers bronze award

YourMotive.com helps 50 students pass the Youth Achievers bronze award.

Team Building

YouMotive.com delivers team building event for over 200 6th form students from Olchfa Comprehensive in Swansea. The day was very successful, there was an excellent level of attendance and we were fortunate with the lovely weather. All the tasks undertaken were enjoyed with every student participating. A big thank you to all the senior prefects who did a great job in helping to facilitate the running of the day’s events.

Youth Offending Service

YourMotive.com have joined up with the Youth Offending Service (YOS) to provide a 12 week educational and motivational programme. YourMotive will take a group out from YOS and partake in a range of different activities from Kayaking and Raft Building to Brecon Beacons, First Aid and Conservation Projects with more to follow.

Fun on the RIB

In the last week of term before Christmas 2009 Yourmotive.com treated its pupils to an Educational and Exhilarating speed boat trip in the Bristol Channel.

A lot of fun was had by all with a great attendance, and each group gained educational information about Cardiff Bay, Flat Holm, Steep Holm, and its surroundings through a fun quiz.

Extended Opportunities Taster Day

Yourmotive.com took part in the extended opportunities taster days held at the Cardiff City Stadium. Meeting potential pupils for the next year’s intake. The days went very well and were enjoyed by all those present. It was more like a fun day with the activities presented by YourMotive. Archery was popular before getting your hands dirty with pottery. While your pots and vases dried we stayed in the warm with teambuilding activities galore.

100 Pupils on Motivational Course

This year sees over 100 pupils on the motivational course being run by YourMotive.com. Retention for the first two months has been excellent with demand for places still being received

80 Youth Achievers Awards

Over 80 pupils have commenced work on their Youth Achievers Award and will be shortly completing a First Aid course as one of the challenges

Forestry Commission and Cardiff City Council Partner YourMotive.com

YourMotive.com has again secured Partnership work with both the Forestry Commission and Cardiff County Council. Both projects will commence before Christmas. Your Motive will be working in conjunction with the Insole Court Heritage Interpretation Project to create a DVD based on the theme of "Cardiff Then and Now".

Using archive photographs and digital technology, the young people will work together to research and learn about the history of Cardiff, comparing it to their own lives in the 21st Century.

Another Yourmotive.com project will also see young people working with Culture Leisure and Parks to undertake vegitation and path clearence before re-construction of a woodland path at Insole Court.

The Delivery of OCN being developed

YourMotive.com are currently looking to deliver OCN accredited courses in the near future.

Team Building Boom

On the team building front YourMotive.com has recently delivered team building days for 2 clients. Namely the Welsh Institute of Sport and the National Health Service (Podiatry Department) Both these days being delivered from the beautiful setting of Llandaff Rowing Club

Providing UWIC Students with Experience

YourMotive.com in Partnership with UWIC is providing a number of work placements so that these student can gain invaluable experience and provide additional support to YourMotive.com
